DISCRIMINATION AND ABUSE AGAINST WOMEN
a problem then, a problem now
THE AIMS OF OUR WEBSITE
To raise awareness about the differences in rights, discrimination and abuse against women
To uncover the differences between the rights of men and women in the past and present and all around the world: such as the wage gap
To raise awareness online, in our local community and school about those women who don’t have anyone to tell their stories to
To tell people the shocking truths about the treatment of women in genocides, such as the women-only camp, Camp Ravensbrück, during the Holocaust
To reveal how non-orthodox women were treated in the past in comparison to the present: such as the treatment of lesbians and transgender people during the time of the Holocaust and now
To create art work that represents the problems women faced, and are still facing. Stories from women who are known or unknown, rich or poor, past or present
